    • Times Gone Bye Tea Dance

      Tea Dance at the Atkinson Centre on the 3rd Monday of each month, £2 entry includes free raffle, our fantastic live band Memory Lane with guest appearances from our very own Elvis Presley, Bootle Bells, and Ernie and his fastest milk cart in the west. There is enough of a show for the less able bodied but a fantastic dance floor for those who like to trip the lights fantastic so bring your best dancing shoes. Bar is open also serving tea/coffee/cake.

      A copy of our weekly social inclusion drop in sessions, most are free or a small nominal fee to cover cost. From Computers, Digital Cameras, Mens Group, Never too Late weigh in and chair exercise group, Art & craft, Institches knit and natter, walking group, swimming sessions, Tea Dances and more call the office on 0151 330 0479

    • Lunchtime Music

      Free Lunchtime Music featuring poetry to coincide with the week of World Poetry Day. Ian Martin (poetry reading) Kyle Harrison-Pope (piano) and Bob Ball (voice) will present a special selection, including Handel’s ‘Art thou troubled’, ‘Silent Worship’ and R Vaughan Williams’ ‘Linden Lea’, the Dorset poem.

    • Lakeside Easter Eggstavaganza

      A free Easter egg hunt, three bouncy castles, donkey rides, craft and stalls all add up to a great family fun day at Lakeside Church on Easter Saturday. There will be a variety of egg hunts for all ages, free, and reduced charges for donkey rides (£2) and bouncy castles (£1) on Saturday 31 March from 11 - 3pm. There's also 5-a-side football for older kids, craft stalls and coffee and cakes available from our fantastic coffee house overlooking the Marine Lake. Graham Eyes will have gorgeous food, quarter pounders, real sausages and a hot pot. Organiser Andy Schofield said, 'The local community had such a great time at our fireworks display in November that we've decided to do another event. It will be a really fun, cheap, day out for families. Everyone welcome. '
